YaSiG Hockey
Lincoln Roses Hockey Club have secured the opportunity to lead the 'Young and Safe in Gainsborough' Hockey training sessions. This is to promote hockey to 16-24 year olds in the local area. It will take place at Trent Valley Academy, Gainsborough on Monday evenings 7-9pm starting 14th November. All current players are welcome to attend to build relationships with the local community.
Welcome evening
The club will be holding its welcome social evening this year at the Adam and Eve Tavern, Lincoln on 15th October. The event will start at 7pm and bring the whole club together to introduce new and old faces, creating a great team spirit.
County Champions 2011/12
Lincoln Roses Men’s 1st XI regain the Lincolnshire County Championship Shield after beating Brigg 3-2!
Start of the League season
The league season began for our Ladies 2nds on the 10th September. Our Men's 1st, 2nd and Ladies 1st teams all began their season on the 24th September. It has been a good start to the season for all these teams hoping for promotion from their respective leagues.
Horncastle Mixed 7s
Roses entered one team into the tournament that took place on 26th June an finished joint 3rd overall. The team came through a tough group as runners up and faced 'Hot shots' in the semi-finals. Roses pushed the eventual tournament winners, but ended up loosing 1-0.

9 Roses players represent
Lincolnshire
The weekend of 21-22nd May saw 9 Roses players representing Lincolnshire Seniors in the EHL County Championships. The games took place in Carlise and Lincolnshire finished 3rd out of 5 teams remaining in the same league next year.The players involved were: David Knowles, Sven Schiltz, Steve Rigby, Wayne Granger, Warrick Laverick, Matt Ingram, Tom White, Ben Read and Sam Temple-Baxter.
Skegness Hockey Festival
Lincoln Roses did the club proud by finishing 2nd in both the Men's and
Ladies Tournaments and going one better by winning the Mixed Tournament. Well done to all those that played in this festival.
Volunteers
We welcome Rob Knowles to Lincoln Roses as the official club umpire. We hope Rob enjoys working with us and furthering his umpiring quality.
As the club is growing we welcome anyone wanting to volunteer to help the club run smoothly. At present we would be interested in hearing from anyone wishing to undertake coaching as part of your course University/College course or to further an interest. You would work alongside the current coaches gaining valuable experience. If you are interested please contact Ian White.
County Champions 2010/11
Lincoln Roses Men’s 1st XI are Lincolnshire County Champions after beating Long Sutton 4-0! After losing last year to Long Sutton in the final a repeat result was never on the cards this year. Roses dominated from the first to the last whistle playing an attractive passing and moving game that opened up the gaps in Sutton’s defence.
